Bird spike installation in OMR — FAQs
What is the bird spike installation price in OMR?
In OMR, SS 304 stainless steel pigeon spikes are ₹180 per running ft installed, including surface preparation, outdoor-grade adhesive and screws or clamps. UV polycarbonate spikes are a lower-cost option for shaded ledges. Every OMR job starts with a free site measurement and a written per running ft quote — no hidden charges.
Which surfaces can you fit bird spikes on in OMR?
Almost any surface: parapet walls, balcony ledges, window sills, AC outdoor unit ledges, roof edges, eaves, railings, pipes, signboards, solar panel frames and compound walls in OMR homes and buildings. Concrete, stone, metal, wood and uPVC all work — we choose adhesive, screws or clamps to suit the surface.
Are bird spikes humane and allowed in OMR apartments?
Yes. Spikes are a deterrent, not a trap — the blunt rods simply remove the flat landing surface so pigeons and other birds move on without being harmed. They are accepted by apartment associations and animal welfare norms, and are the standard pigeon prevention solution for buildings across OMR.
How long do bird spikes last in OMR's weather?
Our SS 304 stainless steel spikes last 10 years or more in South Indian sun and monsoon — the metal does not rust and the UV-stabilised base does not crack. Maintenance is just brushing off leaves or debris once or twice a year, and if a strip ever loosens our after-sales team re-fixes it.

Dedicated installation teams across Chennai localities and every major city in Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh. In OMR, Chennai we work mainly on apartment towers, tech parks, hostels and co-living blocks along the IT corridor. Local site conditions we plan for in OMR
Commercial buildings need work outside office hours, so we quote night and holiday shifts. That decision is made on site, not in the office, because the frame material and working height change the hardware more than the netting itself.
Buildings and openings we cover
- Balconies, windows, French windows and grill-front openings
- Duct shafts, light wells, stilt parking and lift-lobby gaps
- Terraces, parapets, staircase voids and open atriums
- Schools, hostels, factories, warehouses and sports grounds
OMR neighbourhoods and nearby stretches we reach
Perungudi, Thoraipakkam, Navalur, Siruseri and the surrounding streets. Our vans cover the full Perungudi-to-Siruseri stretch daily.
How a bird spike installation job runs in OMR
1. Free measurement and written quote
A technician measures every opening in feet, checks the frame, and gives you a per-sq.ft rate in writing before any drilling starts.
2. Fabrication and fixing
Netting is cut and rope-bordered to your exact size, anchors go in at 12–15 inch intervals, and stainless steel wire rope is tensioned across the opening before the net is laced on.
Materials used on OMR sites
UV-stabilised HDPE and braided nylon netting, SS 304/316 hooks and eye bolts, 2.5–3mm stainless wire rope, turnbuckles for re-tensioning, and UV-resistant lacing thread.
Warranty and after-service
Every installation carries a written warranty on netting and hardware, with on-call re-tightening and repair visits in OMR.
