Buying industrial nets: what to specify

1. Twine and material

Nylon packing nets stretch slightly and absorb shock, which suits load restraint. HDPE packing nets are stiffer and cheaper per kilo, better for static screening and for nets left in sunlight. Both are stocked in 2mm, 3mm, 4mm and 5mm.

2. Mesh size

Mesh should be smaller than the smallest thing you need to hold. A 100mm mesh is fine for cartons and drums, useless for loose components. We will ask what is being packed before quoting.

3. Border and fittings

Industrial nets fail at the edge, not the middle. Ours are spliced-rope bordered with steel thimbles at the corners, so daily hooking does not tear the net apart.

Industries we supply

Automotive, textiles, food processing, cement, steel, packaging, transport fleets, container freight stations and 3PL warehouses across Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Packing net questions

What is the price of safety nets per kg?

1mm and 1.5mm nets start from ₹455 and go up to ₹750 per kg. From 2mm to 5mm the range is ₹450 to ₹550 per kg. The final rate depends on twine type, mesh size, colour and order quantity, and we confirm it in writing before dispatch.

Which thickness should I use for a balcony?

For pigeon and bird screening, 1mm or 1.5mm is enough. For a child or pet safety net, use 1.5mm or 2mm — it takes weight and pushing without stretching. Anything advertised as fall protection for people should be 3mm or above.

Nylon or HDPE — which is better?

Nylon is softer, stronger for its diameter and better where a ball has to be absorbed rather than bounced. HDPE is stiffer, cheaper per kilo and stands up to direct sun very well. For sports we lean nylon; for long-term outdoor screening HDPE is often the smarter buy.

Do you sell net by the kilo or by the square foot?

Both. Bulk buyers, fabricators and industries buy per kg; homeowners usually want a finished installed panel priced per square foot. Tell us which you need and we will quote that way.

Packing & production net price per kg — grouped by thickness

1mm and 1.5mm nets are ₹455–₹750 per kg. 2mm to 5mm nets are ₹450–₹550 per kg. The square-foot figures are worked out from our usual finished-panel weight, so treat them as a guide — we confirm the exact weight and rate against your mesh size and quantity before dispatch. Hardware and installation are quoted separately.

Local site conditions we plan for in Chennai

Every fixing uses stainless steel hardware and UV-stabilised netting so the installation survives sun, rain and coastal wind. That decision is made on site, not in the office, because the frame material and working height change the hardware more than the netting itself.

Duct shafts, light wells, stilt parking and lift-lobby gaps
Terraces, parapets, staircase voids and open atriums

How a packing and production net supply job runs in Chennai

1. Free measurement and written quote

A technician measures every opening in feet, checks the frame, and gives you a per-sq.ft rate in writing before any drilling starts.

2. Fabrication and fixing

Netting is cut and rope-bordered to your exact size, anchors go in at 12–15 inch intervals, and stainless steel wire rope is tensioned across the opening before the net is laced on.

Materials used on Chennai sites

UV-stabilised HDPE and braided nylon netting, SS 304/316 hooks and eye bolts, 2.5–3mm stainless wire rope, turnbuckles for re-tensioning, and UV-resistant lacing thread.

Warranty and after-service

Every installation carries a written warranty on netting and hardware, with on-call re-tightening and repair visits in Chennai.
