What decides your final rate
- • Cable grade: SS 304 for inland openings, marine-grade SS 316 near the sea.
- • Total sq.ft: larger jobs get a better per sq.ft rate.
- • Cable spacing: 3 inch is standard; 2 inch fine spacing costs more.
- • Opening height and floor level: full-height and high-rise work needs extra rigging.
- • Track colour and finish: standard shades are included, custom shades are extra.
Price FAQs
What is the invisible grill price in Chennai?
In Chennai, invisible grills work out to ₹120 – ₹350 per sq.ft installed: roughly ₹120–₹180 per sq.ft in SS 304, ₹180–₹260 per sq.ft in marine-grade SS 316 and ₹260–₹350 per sq.ft for premium 3 mm cable. The final rate depends on the opening size, cable spacing, track colour and floor height, so we confirm it in writing after a free site measurement — no advance, no hidden labour charge.
Is an invisible grill safe for children and pets?
Yes. We fix 2.5 mm stainless steel cable at 3 inch spacing between a top and bottom aluminium track, tensioned floor to ceiling. A child cannot squeeze through or climb it, and a cat or dog cannot push it out. Each cable is rated for far more load than a child leaning on it, and there are no horizontal footholds, unlike a conventional MS grill.
Will an invisible grill rust in Chennai's weather?
SS 316 is marine-grade stainless steel with added molybdenum, which is exactly why we recommend it for coastal Chennai, ECR, OMR and sea-facing high-rises. The cable is also nylon coated, so salt-laden air and monsoon rain do not reach the steel. SS 304 is fine for inland openings. Both come with a written warranty — 5 years on SS 304, 10 years on SS 316.
How long does invisible grill installation take?
A standard balcony in Chennai is measured on day one and fitted in 3–5 hours once the material is ready — usually within 3–5 working days of confirming the quote. Windows take about an hour each. There is no welding, no wall breaking and very little dust; we drill only the track fixing points and clean up before leaving.
