YPL Safety Nets installs monkey safety nets across Medavakkam, Chennai — a fast-growing suburb of gated communities and high-rises. Heavy 3 mm knotted nets that stop monkeys entering balconies, terraces and open shafts.
Key Highlights
- 3 mm knotted HDPE mesh — roughly twice the strength of a standard balcony net.

- Tight 20 mm – 25 mm gap that stops paws, birds and stray objects together.
- UV-stabilised for Chennai sun; does not sag after monsoon.
- From ₹35/- per sq.ft installed with a free site measurement.

Frequently asked questions — monkey safety nets Medavakkam
Will monkeys tear a safety net?
A standard 2 mm balcony net can be pulled apart. Our monkey net is 3 mm knotted HDPE on a stainless wire rope frame — it holds the weight of a full-grown monkey and resists biting and repeated pulling.
What does a monkey safety net cost in Chennai?
Installed monkey nets start at ₹35/- per sq.ft. Troop-prone terraces with extra anchoring are around ₹42/- per sq.ft. We give an exact price after a free site visit.
Does it block light or air?
No. The mesh is thin and transparent from inside, so daylight and breeze pass through normally.
How long does installation take?
Most balconies are finished in 2 to 4 hours. Large terraces take a single working day.

Monkey Safety Nets installation in Medavakkam — what we install, how we price it and when we can come
Dedicated installation teams across Chennai localities and every major city in Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh. In Medavakkam, Chennai we work mainly on gated communities, villa rows and 5–12 floor apartment towers. The job we are called for most here is building-wide pigeon netting booked by apartment associations. Every quote follows a free site measurement — nothing is estimated over the phone.
Local site conditions we plan for in Medavakkam
Association work is scheduled floor by floor with a lift-access plan so residents are not blocked. That decision is made on site, not in the office, because the frame material and working height change the hardware more than the netting itself.
Buildings and openings we cover
- Balconies, windows, French windows and grill-front openings
- Duct shafts, light wells, stilt parking and lift-lobby gaps
- Terraces, parapets, staircase voids and open atriums
- Schools, hostels, factories, warehouses and sports grounds

How a monkey Safety Nets installation job runs in Medavakkam
1. Free measurement and written quote
A technician measures every opening in feet, checks the frame, and gives you a per-sq.ft rate in writing before any drilling starts.
2. Fabrication and fixing
Netting is cut and rope-bordered to your exact size, anchors go in at 12–15 inch intervals, and stainless steel wire rope is tensioned across the opening before the net is laced on.
Materials used on Medavakkam sites
UV-stabilised HDPE and braided nylon netting, SS 304/316 hooks and eye bolts, 2.5–3mm stainless wire rope, turnbuckles for re-tensioning, and UV-resistant lacing thread.
