Frequently asked questions — staircase safety nets K.K. Nagar
Will drilling be needed on my wooden handrail?
No. Railing nets are tied with stainless hooks and rope around the existing balusters, so the handrail is untouched.
Which mesh size is right for a toddler?
20 mm. It is small enough that a child's arm or head cannot pass through, and it still stays visually light.
What colour looks best indoors?
White or transparent net disappears against most interiors. Black works well with dark steel or glass railings.
How much does a staircase net cost?
Railing nets start at ₹22/- per sq.ft installed. A full horizontal stair well cover is from ₹30/- per sq.ft.

Staircase Safety Nets installation in K.K. Nagar — what we install, how we price it and when we can come
Dedicated installation teams across Chennai localities and every major city in Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh. In K.K. Nagar, Chennai we work mainly on builder flats, G+3 apartment blocks, independent houses and gated villa rows. The job we are called for most here is pigeon nets on balconies, AC ledges and duct shafts. Every quote follows a free site measurement — nothing is estimated over the phone.
Local site conditions we plan for in K.K. Nagar
Most balconies here have concrete or granite-clad frames, so we anchor with stainless steel eye bolts at 12–15 inch centres instead of plastic plugs. That decision is made on site, not in the office, because the frame material and working height change the hardware more than the netting itself.
Buildings and openings we cover
- Balconies, windows, French windows and grill-front openings
- Duct shafts, light wells, stilt parking and lift-lobby gaps
- Terraces, parapets, staircase voids and open atriums
- Schools, hostels, factories, warehouses and sports grounds
K.K. Nagar neighbourhoods and nearby stretches we reach
Ashok Pillar, Municipal Colony, Vadapalani and the surrounding streets. Our Pallikaranai godown is a short run away, so measurement is often same-day and fitting the next morning.
How a staircase Safety Nets installation job runs in K.K. Nagar
1. Free measurement and written quote
A technician measures every opening in feet, checks the frame, and gives you a per-sq.ft rate in writing before any drilling starts.
2. Fabrication and fixing
Netting is cut and rope-bordered to your exact size, anchors go in at 12–15 inch intervals, and stainless steel wire rope is tensioned across the opening before the net is laced on.

UV-stabilised HDPE and braided nylon netting, SS 304/316 hooks and eye bolts, 2.5–3mm stainless wire rope, turnbuckles for re-tensioning, and UV-resistant lacing thread.
