Frequently asked questions — monkey safety nets Kotturpuram
Will monkeys tear a safety net?
A standard 2 mm balcony net can be pulled apart. Our monkey net is 3 mm knotted HDPE on a stainless wire rope frame — it holds the weight of a full-grown monkey and resists biting and repeated pulling.
What does a monkey safety net cost in Chennai?
Installed monkey nets start at ₹35/- per sq.ft. Troop-prone terraces with extra anchoring are around ₹42/- per sq.ft. We give an exact price after a free site visit.
Does it block light or air?
No. The mesh is thin and transparent from inside, so daylight and breeze pass through normally.
How long does installation take?
Most balconies are finished in 2 to 4 hours. Large terraces take a single working day.

Monkey Safety Nets installation in Kotturpuram — what we install, how we price it and when we can come
Dedicated installation teams across Chennai localities and every major city in Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh. In Kotturpuram, Chennai we work mainly on builder flats, G+3 apartment blocks, independent houses and gated villa rows. The job we are called for most here is packing and production nets for shops, godowns and small units. Every quote follows a free site measurement — nothing is estimated over the phone.
Local site conditions we plan for in Kotturpuram
Most balconies here have concrete or granite-clad frames, so we anchor with stainless steel eye bolts at 12–15 inch centres instead of plastic plugs. That decision is made on site, not in the office, because the frame material and working height change the hardware more than the netting itself.
Buildings and openings we cover
- Balconies, windows, French windows and grill-front openings
- Duct shafts, light wells, stilt parking and lift-lobby gaps
- Terraces, parapets, staircase voids and open atriums
- Schools, hostels, factories, warehouses and sports grounds
Kotturpuram neighbourhoods and nearby stretches we reach
Anna University, Gandhi Mandapam Road, Adyar river and the surrounding streets. Our Pallikaranai godown is a short run away, so measurement is often same-day and fitting the next morning.

1. Free measurement and written quote

2. Fabrication and fixing
Netting is cut and rope-bordered to your exact size, anchors go in at 12–15 inch intervals, and stainless steel wire rope is tensioned across the opening before the net is laced on.
